POSITION TITLE: Student Worker, Architecture-Engineering-Construction
DEPARTMENT: Technical
REPORTS TO: AEC Program Coordinator

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with all full time and adjunct instructors as needed.
2. Organize and inventory of classrooms, studio and construction lab and supplies, tools and equipment within.
3. Manage the use of specialized equipment such as printer/plotter, 3D printers, laser engraver, etc. for program instructors and students.
4. Assist with small construction projects for the program and courses.
5. Attend college marketing and recruiting events as well as assist in program sponsored nights such as college and career night.
6. Complete drawings and images in CADD and other computer graphic software (Photoshop, SketchUp, etc.).
7. Perform miscellaneous office and clerical duties.
8. Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Proficient in CADD and computer graphic software (minimum two semesters of related work) and Microsoft Office.
2. Ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
3. Knowledge of construction industry terminology, methods and procedures
4. Knowledge of high technology equipment such as 3D printing, etc.
5. Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. AEC, CADD or ARCH major.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Normal classroom physical demands.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Duties are performed indoors in classrooms or labs and occasionally an outdoor environment.
